Here are my first efforts at writing haiku as well as other "small stones," short polished pieces of writing. I am a single vegan lesbian living with 6 pets on Vashon Island. I spend my days primarily quilting "portable hug" quilts which I donate to folks who could use a portable hug for a variety of reasons. I also tutor/mentor middle school and high school students in a variety of subjects. I am interested in yoga, daoism, and haiku.
Thanks, and your hope has been granted as we just got back from the ultrasound and her GI track is looking really good! She just has a possible kidney infection and a slowness (stasis) in the GI track so now we have more meds, but both her vet and I are thrilled! As Dr. Nell says, Sasha is just taking us on a roller coaster ride, but we'll take that ride for as long as we can. And who would have thought kidney infection would be good news, but it wasn't cancer and it is very treatable! Thanks for your good wishes, and Sasha says thanks as well!
