Here are my first efforts at writing haiku as well as other "small stones," short polished pieces of writing. I am a single vegan lesbian living with 6 pets on Vashon Island. I spend my days primarily quilting "portable hug" quilts which I donate to folks who could use a portable hug for a variety of reasons. I also tutor/mentor middle school and high school students in a variety of subjects. I am interested in yoga, daoism, and haiku.
Thanks! Or a few hours! I wrote for about six hours both Saturday and Sunday and another four hours today. It has been a whirlwind twelve days. I've dropped nearly everything but writing since Nov. 1, and I now have a finished draft in twelve days, 57,427 words! I'm pumped! But I'll have to resume the real world tomorrow. I've let too many things slide. But in a good cause so I don't mind at all!
Wow! It just shows what you can achieve with a few minutes grabbed here and there.
