Here are my first efforts at writing haiku as well as other "small stones," short polished pieces of writing. I am a single vegan lesbian living with 6 pets on Vashon Island. I spend my days primarily quilting "portable hug" quilts which I donate to folks who could use a portable hug for a variety of reasons. I also tutor/mentor middle school and high school students in a variety of subjects. I am interested in yoga, daoism, and haiku.

Six Word Saturday
Day of solitude recharges my batteries
Ok, just found out about this site where you can describe your Saturday in six words and I'm a bit late this week, but there it is. See the button on the right if you want to do this yourself. Anyway, this does describe my lovely Saturday where the weather outside was foul but inside it was warm and comfy and I got a lot done at my own slow puttering pace.

I'm so glad you had a lovely Saturday to yourself. My husband was away for work for about 8 days and while I missed him, I love having time that is all mine.
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing 6WS!
Thanks, Cate, and I apologize for being so late in responding to your nice comment. Somehow life has gotten away from me but I am trying to get back to 6WS and get caught up on stuff! And yes, I live alone (well except for 3 dogs and 3 cats!) and while that can be lonely, it also allows for having time that is all mine (once the aforementioned pets are cared for)!
