Wordle 50: Sir Thackeray

Here is my contribution to The Sunday Whirl’s Wordle 50 challenge.  Today’s words are: pet, string, wish, point, trick, shine, paw, smell, pack, shape, taste, and whisper

Sir Thackeray

Sir Thackeray knows he rules the pack
and pointing his paw at random shapes
he conjures up trick after trick,
before he plays with the string
left discarded on the floor
or tastes his food when no one looks,
wishing for another flavor to smell and savor.
He grooms himself until his fur shines,
and then whispers in the dog’s ear
making the dog leap and run.
Thackeray is no pet, but a free spirit
whom I am lucky to have for a friend.

  2. Thanks, Mary! And Thackeray is very real! I have 3 cats and 3 dogs but no one questions that Thackeray is "Sir Thackeray" and rules us all. Glad you liked my tribute to him. Have a super day!

  3. How wonderful to have a companion that can rule your roost while in your absence. In-laws have the same set, 3 of each. The one cat and dog often work together knocking things out of place... so much so that the top of the frig is no longer a safe option for breads and people treats! :)

    1. LOL! I know that act very well! Thackeray knocks things down and then Poosa, one of my dogs, chews it up! They work well together for sure. Thanks for stopping by!

  6. You are indeed "lucky to have for a friend." Sounds like Sir Thackary is a legend in his own mind. Our animals are characters aren't they!?
